I have a job interview at Best Buy tomorrow afternoon do you think that requires a resume and dressing up?

I have a job interview tomorrow at Best Buy, this will be my first job interview. Do you think I should bring a resume and also should I dress up?|||Dress nicely, show up 10 minutes early, and look the person who is interviewing you right in the eye. Also smile a lot! You do not need a resume. Especially since this is your first job you wouldn%26#039;t have any work experience to put on it.

Be ready to answer the following questions:

Why do you want to work here?

What is your availability (know your school schedule and other commitments)?

Do you have any special skills?

How many hours a week can you work?

Those are all pretty basic and will be asked at any interview! GOOD LUCK!|||I am SOOOO happy you got the job!! Congrats!! Thats AWESOME!!! Report Abuse
|||which best buy??? Report Abuse
|||dress nice. so that way u give them a great impression! and im not realyl sure about a resume.. sorry|||you shud definetly do both it shows you are responsible and you want the job i made the mistake once not dressing or having a resume and they commented on it straight away even though it was for McDonalds i dint get the job|||It is always good to have a resume no matter where you are trying to get a job. You should always at least where some sort of dress slack and a polo. awww.. good luck I hope you get it!!|||I LOVE BEST BUY|||Dress for the type of store your trying to go with.Clean clothes, nothing tight, reveling or Men%26#039;s

clothes.NO cleavage. You will be ask to fill out a

app.|||I worked at Best Buy when I was younger. You definitely don%26#039;t need a resume. I would dress decent, not too casual, but you definitely don%26#039;t need to overdo it. I had my lip pierced at the time and still got the job.|||i don%26#039;t think you need a resume but yes i would dress up more then just jeans and a t-shirt|||To make the best impression, have a resume and dress one step up from what the job requires. Think of it this way, you want them to think that you%26#039;d be qualified to move up. So dress for the part.

Both will help you differentiate yourself.|||You don%26#039;t need a resume, but dress nicely - nice pants, shirt and tie and sweater would be OK.|||Def. dress up a resume may not be required but looks good if you have a simple one put together.|||I over dressed, once, for an interview.

You should know how they dress.

I would think business casual. A tie if male.|||definetly dress up , not skanky though , dont give bad vibes . just remember %26quot; first impressions %26quot; . a resume would be good if youve ever done any thing like the position you applying for , other wise it would be pointless . good luck .|||always helps to look nice.

im sure bestbuy doesn%26#039;t require a 3 piece suit but a nice pair of khakis and a good shirt would do.

and a resume helps. it doesnt have to be professional, maybe to just past work experiences and references.|||No, don%26#039;t dress up all fancy, bring a resume.|||Hello Andrew!

YES, absolutely dress in a suit, if at all possible. If you don%26#039;t have a suit, then wear a nice shirt and tie with some nice slacks and shoes. If you go into any job interview, (no matter how big or small you may think the job might be) dressed professionally, it will make a really good impression upon the personell department and possible future co-workers and bosses.

Definitely put a resume together. Organizing a good history of what experience you%26#039;ve had through previous jobs, schooling or other training, volunteering you may have done for the community and even sports experience (which can really show %26quot;TEAM%26quot; experience) helps tremendously. The interviewer will be able to take a glimpse into the type of person you are, your work ethic, your experience and your integrity.

Always include both personal and non-personal references too. I know they ask for these types of things in the regular application, but it%26#039;s also good to include refrences on your resume as well.

The interviewer and potential bosses can contact your references and find out what kind of person you are on an even more personal or moral level.

So it%26#039;s good to name 3 personal references. Such as family members or close friends. Then 3 non personal refrences, like previous bosses in previous jobs, if you%26#039;re fresh out of high school or college, have a good teacher or school official who knows you be a refrence or any coaches.

I hope this helps and certainly hope the interview goes well!

Good luck :)|||hey it couldnt hurt!!! it would probably be really impressive!!! good luck|||Couldn%26#039;t hurt. Might help, so why not?|||always be as professional as possible.|||you should have a resume because it shows how you have done with past jobs and do dress, it%26#039;s respectable and they will get a good idea about you.|||Did you submit a resume when you were applying? If not, it is a good idea to bring it. That shows your potential employer that you are dedicated. Dress respectively. No jeans. Also, put your glasses on, if you have them. Studies show that most people get jobs who wear glasses. Be confident in what you say. You can do it. Good luck!|||If you were going to give a resume, that should have been attached to your application (unless you are giving them the application when you have your interview). Also, unless it%26#039;s a management position (which I doubt, if this is your first interview), a resume really isn%26#039;t necessary. As far as dressing up, I would go with dress casual. Maybe a pair of khaki slacks and a nice button-down shirt. I don%26#039;t think a suit or anything like that is really necessary (unless it is a management or other upper level position). DO NOT wear jeans and a T-shirt.|||Not to say its a bad company. I know people are treated like dirt at Best Buy during the holiday season. No breaks %26amp; over worked.

Unless your doing floor sales.|||Yes put your best foot forward... be proud of yourself and represent yourself well if you don%26#039;t who will. Even though it%26#039;s your first interview it is practice for bigger and better jobs down the road so do not practice to fail.|||Absolutely!|||I wouldn%26#039;t wear a suit--but, would wear a nice shirt and khaki pants. Unless you are going for a management position, I don%26#039;t think you will need a tie. The morst important thing is that you look neat and tidy.

Bring your resume%26#039;. See how the interview goes and ask the person if he/she would like a copy of your resume%26#039;. Most likely your application will serve the purpose--but, just in case---I would bring the resume%26#039;.

Good luck!!|||yes yes , every interview includes dressing up|||i don%26#039;t think you have to worry about it. i don%26#039;t think you%26#039;ll get the job. you put this under food service. but anyway i got a job at target when i was wearing shorts flipflops and and a tanktop.
