How can i get into a job, where i can help victims of domestic violence?

Im really interested in getting in a job where i can help victims of domestic violence, But dont know where to start. Or where to applie for this kind of work, Can anyone help with infomation please?

Thank you.|||Hi, I%26#039;m in HR. Positions like this require a degree in Social Work. You are interested in being a Social Worker or working in a crisis center most likely, so that%26#039;s what you%26#039;ll need. You can always volunteer at a center like this if you don%26#039;t have a degree and maybe help with some phone calls. But you won%26#039;t get to do much without a BA.|||First of all, you need to understand that the people you refer to prefer to be known as survivors of domestic violence.

If you are in the UK, most charities advertise these positions in the Guardian on Wednesdays, or also see the jobs section on their website. Thirs Sector and New Start magazines which also have web sites are sometimes useful. Jobs at a more basic level could be advertised in your local paper.

To gain some experience, contact your local Volunteer Centre to see if they can refer you to your local Women%26#039;s Aid.
