How hard is it to get a job in the medical field,as cardiology tech or echocardography tech?

I am currently going to school for both, but have no previous experience in medical field. I am freaking out that I will never get a job once I get the certificates. Living in Chicago area.|||I have a lot of friends who were in medical school while I was attending law school and at least according to them, finding a job wasnt the difficult part of the whole process....it was getting the education itself. So perk up, there%26#039;s always jobs in the medical field and as long as you do well in your studies you should be just fine.....especially in a big a.ss city like Chicago. Maybe you can be Oprah%26#039;s own personal cardiology tech.|||The medical industry has huge potential for jobs. There is always demand. I wouldn%26#039;t worry too much-- get good grades, get some internship or volunteer.|||You should do just fine.

See what leads %26amp; introductions your school can make for you.

Check the classified ads to see how many offerings there are to get an idea of the job market.

May not get the job you want right out of school , but there are options.

One trend is for hospitals to take on per-diem workers ( no benefits as a sort of try before you buy) .

Can lead to a permanent position or maybe night %26amp; weekend on call .

There are plenty of %26quot;free-standing%26quot; cardio. clinics that have full time techs who float between affiliated offices.

Know techs who are freelancers that cover several doctor%26#039;s offices.

No benefits but they make up for it w/ higher salaries.

Also easier to make up their own work schedule %26amp; time off.

Live in NY area %26amp; there is actually a problem ( nice one for you) where docs are %26quot;raiding%26quot; hospitals for staff.

You will find your way.

Best of luck.

Is it wise to apply for a job that wants experience that I don't have?

I want to apply for a assitant manager position for an apartment complex. However, I have never worked near an apartment. The ad asks for a proven track record in property management. Is there a way to %26quot;fudge%26quot; my resume to help me land an interview? HELP. I really want this job. I meet all of the other requirements.|||I would not fudge my resume, but I would defintely apply. You never know, they might call you for an interview. In that case, I would think about what skills you have that you might be able to apply to managing an apartment complex. If you can, find someone who does this job and talk to them, they might be able to help you figure out how you can best describe your experiences in a way that will be attractive to the employer.|||No, don%26#039;t fudge your resume, but if you truly believe you can do this job, then, just sell yourself in your cover letter, not your resume. And you better be able to back it up. Good Luck|||WELL, YOU CAN SAY THAT SHE HAS MUCH EXPERIENCE IN EMBEZZLING RESUMES....|||You can apply and hope for an interview and shine there. It is doubtful that you will obtain an interview without the experience. It is listed for a reason.|||It might only end up in embarrassment or being fired if you lie on an application, or your resume.|||I would fudge my resume if I think I can really pull it off once I%26#039;m hired.

When should I start looking for a job for after graduation?

I%26#039;ll be starting my senior year of college in a month. My major is communications/public relations. I want to be sure to have a job as soon after graduation as possible.|||Go to your college Career Center and do research, ask lots of questions, start on your resume and a plan for marketing yourself - NOW. College Career Centers have many resources and resource people. Also look for Career Fairs...they are usually listed in your local newspapers, notices on bulletin boards as well as career centers. Most of all START NOW! Best wishes in your future endeavors.|||then start looking before you graduate or all the good jobs will already be filled!!!|||Right now. Send your resume` to as many radio and television stations as you can. Don%26#039;t forget the major large corporate broadcasters like Clearchanel, and Citadel.

Good luck.|||go to your college%26#039;s career services office. a friend of mine did an internship her final semester and they hired her full-time after she graduated. she%26#039;s out in new jersey making more money than some of my professors and she hasn%26#039;t even be out of school for a year.|||Check with your college%26#039;s career placement center. Also, if there is an alumni club, start networking and talking with them. Go to career fairs and there%26#039;s always Monster, the classifieds, etc.|||a good idea is to see if your college has a co-op or intern or new grad program where companies come by to hire students and possibly offer a job to new graduates. This gets you foot in the door and gain good experience.|||January is good.

How hard is it to get a job as a Pharmacy Tech when you first start?

I will be getting my certificate as a pharmacy Tech in six weeks. How hard will it be to get a job in the field. Please only answer if you know what you are talking about.|||Did you obtain a state license or did you pass the PTCB exam (or both)? For me, it was extremely difficult. I had to volunteer for 2 months at a hospital in order to obtain employment at that same hospital as a full-time CPhT (I did not want to work as a retail tech. Nothing wrong with working in retail. It%26#039;s just not my cup of tea.)

I would apply at retail pharmacies IN PERSON. Don%26#039;t do it online. You will not get any where with that. Visit the human resources departments in hospitals and complete an application there. Make sure to bring your resume, references and also copies of your license and PTCB certificate.

Good luck|||Currently, there is a glut of pharm techs. You may not get even a part time job until August. In Illinois, you don%26#039;t need to be certified immediately to be a pharm tech. All you need is to be 16 years old, have a clean criminal record, and have $40. Most of the local pharmacies will train you. Walgreens has its own PTCB training program. Apply today for a pharm tech job and try and get the phone number for the tech trainer/supervisor.|||I%26#039;d say its largely dependent on where you live, what the demand for those workers are, and how many schools are in that area that offer it.

My bf%26#039;s brother%26#039;s wife is a pharm tech. However because there is a lot of colleges around there that all offer pharm tech, and its a relatively small place, the area is crowded with unemployed pharm techs.

Your school might be able to help you land a job.|||Depends on the demand in your area, mostly. And often times there is a decent level of demand. I work with a lady that hires for our pharmacy and I know that the types of stuff she asks in interviews determines who she hires, and there are many people who apply that do not have the certification. You having the certification should increase your chances greatly.|||not hard.

How do I get my first time job without any work experiece?

I have no work history nor volunteered for anything. I%26#039;ve been applying to several different places more than once and been to 4 interviews. I%26#039;ve tried to dress professional when putting in applications just in case there was an on the spot interview. I%26#039;ve been at this for 2 years now. I still can%26#039;t get a job.|||apply for an internship, work for free, gain some experience, and then use this experience to apply for a well-payed job.|||maybe you should do some volunteer work on weekends. i had the same problem. i just gave up|||You didn%26#039;t mention how old you are. Assuming you are 18, I have a great career that might interest you. I work from home for a great company. They offer 401k, benefits and full training and support, so no experience necessary, just ambition. If you are the kind of person who enjoys helping others, it could be a great fit for you. I really enjoy what I do and I would be happy to share more information.|||You could try working from home.Check this site out http://www.pcworkathome.net|||you are screwed...

you have to either-----

know someone who%26#039;ll put in a word for you and get an interview or

offer to volunteer and work your way out of the cellar........sorry if this is blunt. ive been there and know.

good luck and dont take no for an answer

How soon should i start looking for job, and apartment?

How soon should i start looking for job as medical biller? when should start looking for apartment in new york city/manhattan? im planning on starting at CUNY Hunter in summer?where would you advice i look for apartment? around what area i mean? and any suggestions on where i should search. Thank you|||I dont know the area :-) BUT I know the sooner you are prepared the better, finding an apartment and having a pre arrangement on your move in date can save a lot of headache and hassle, not to mention last minute scrambling.

And the job, same thing depending on what you plan on doing during school. If just part time you can usually find something quick and easy, again depending on what you plan on doing for work. But never hurts if you can find an employer who knows when you are coming and is willing to offer you a position when you arrive.

Good luck!

What is the right answers during a job interview?

I have an upcoming job interview for an asst managers position at a retail store and want to ace the interview by answering questions correctly. What type of questions will be asked and what should my answers be.|||Research the company first and learn what they do best and where they are going, then in the interview, ask them questions... If you take that much interest in their company to know their current affairs, they will usually take notice of you.|||You%26#039;ll probably get behavioral questions such as:

1) Tell me about a time you worked on a team to solve a problem.

2) Tell me about a time you had to work with an uncooperative team member to solve a problem.

3) What is your greatest weakness?

For more information including how to answer. See the Harvard link I left below.|||Just remember it is all about %26quot;them%26quot; and not you.

The customer is who you are trying to please in such a job as well as corporate. It is all about Sales.....|||A general rule: What you have done--your experience and achievements--is better than what you PROMISE to do.
