How am I able to get a job with a gross misdemeanor on my record?

Whenever an employer looks at my criminal history, they run. I havent done anything of that nature since then, its been a couple of years, but i cant seem to get a job because of it. HELP!|||you need to better explain what happened.. Usually misdemeanor aren%26#039;t looked at that closely. They are usually interested in felonies.|||You could always get esponged.
