How difficult it is to get a job in America for a foreigner?

I am moving to the U.S soon and want to start working asap. I worked in India in Customer Serv field. I am looking for an office assistant%26#039;s job. What skills do I need to have and how much do they pay?|||EXCELLENT ENGLISH. Usually starts around $24k a year + benefits like health insurance. Lots of unemployment last few years so it will be tough with or without college education. Now if you wanted to work in meatpacking you could EASILY get a job making $30k a year +benefits and english skills aren%26#039;t required. What are you making now in India?|||Very easy. All you have to be is non American to get a job here. Also you must be willing to work for nothing.|||By moving to America, do you mean legal immigration? If yes, then finding work is possible (not easy but not extremely difficult either). English is the medium of instruction in India, right? --- so there should be no language problem.

I strongly suggest you contact the Indian Consulate Office as soon as you arrive. They should be able to provide info on organizations of Indian nationals who could help you in the transition period.

GOOD LUCK!
