Is there a law enforcement job where you are assigned a criminal and have to locate, and arrest him?

I want to go into law enforcement but i don%26#039;t want to just do things like highway patrol and stuff. I would rather be used exclusively for finding criminals like serial killers and rapists and things. If there is a job like this, what is it called, and what do you have to do to get it?|||That%26#039;s what I do.

It is called %26#039;Fugitive Apprehension%26#039;. I%26#039;m part of a Task Force and our main objective to to apprehend wanted persons.

It is not a job you just %26#039;get%26#039;. It is something that you have to have several years experience and with an agency that has such a position.

Good luck... I love what I do.|||mostly us marshels and bounty hunters Report Abuse
|||You have to start at the bottom like everybody else. If you are interested in forensics, you need some scientific background.

Once you become a cop, you have to learn to handle the street. Once you can handle the basics, you can move on to more specialized things.

Unless you take a job as a civilian employee assisting with investigations, you have to start from the bottom.

Try FBI and State Police|||Some agencies have warrant service teams or units - but they are typically the larger ones.

Warrant service in smaller agencies is done by beat officers/investigations/tactical officers.

Most are actually served on traffic stops.

These units are usually assigned under investigations - they are lateral assignments - and usually require no special skills.|||detective, you need to have the right schooling and so many years on the force,to get .Your best bet is to become a bounty hunter for bail bonds. Each bail bonds have different requirements for the job,you%26#039;ll have to find one and see what they are|||That area of law enforcement is called the fugitive apprehension unit or fugitive task force. Not all agencies have them. The U.S. Marshall%26#039;s are probably the best known.|||Yeah, it%26#039;s called a Bounty Hunter.........|||Bounty Hunter..|||Sounds like you want to be a bounty hunter.
