How do you deal with job interview jitters?

When I am at a job interview I get the usual nervous sweats, heart palpitations, and I start to lose my train of thought. Do you guys have any suggestions or techniques you use.|||I try to imagine what the interviewer could have been like when he/she was interviewed for his/her position. I don%26#039;t know of anybody who doesn%26#039;t get nervous during an interview though, there is that burning question in the back of our brains at the time of the interview asking %26quot;what if I mess up%26quot; or %26quot;what if I say something really dumb%26quot; or %26quot;what if they just don%26#039;t like me%26quot;? Try to just relax, breathe, and focus on the good things you are saying!|||breathe|||I have done a lot of job interviews...and been offered jobs most of the time. The main thing is prepare. If you are prepared you will not be nervous. And if you are not nervous you will do well.

Preparation techniques

- Think of answers to common questions. Depending on the job there will be certain questions to expect. Literally rehearse them out loud.

- Research the company, and have confidence you will be a good employee.

- Always be on time, and dressed really well.

But the main thing about the interview is to have prepared answers to common questions...

- Tell us about you weeknesses / strengths.

- Tell us how you will settle disputes with co-workers and customers.

- Tell us when you went beyond what was expected at a job.

And many other common questions. Maybe look at the job sites for more questions to expect. Also have fun with it, make a personal connection to the person doing the interview. And you will get better and more relaxed each time.|||Best thing to do is relax. If you are a good worker and are very knowledgable in your field; they don%26#039;t hire you. Look at as their loss, not yours. Just be as truthful as possible and act confident without being cocky. Find out as much about the company as possible. What kind of services do they provide? Who are their affliates or subsidiaries? How long have they been in business? Who is the president? Observe how things are operated and if they don%26#039;t seem to be efficient I would be looking elsewhere anyway.|||Realize that you don%26#039;t run the show, but you should have the job-

because, by golly, you%26#039;re good enough, smart enough and noone else wants that job as much as you!|||Masturbate 10 or 15 min before helps you relax|||just be urself.|||Practice. Go to Monster and there are lists of common interview questions. Have an example for many of them. You can use the same example for a few but mix it up. No one likes to hear the same story over and over. Remember its just like telling a story. Most of all, be yourself. Let them see who they are really getting if they hire you.
