How is a job in the media industry?

I have always wanted to work in the media sector as a producer/journalist/director etc... I find it is an interesting job and i was making a choice whether to pursue a mass comm degree. So, before i make a crucial decision in my life, i wanted to hear opinions of others who preferably has experienced working in the media industry. Details about working time and pay would be helpful and if you are able to list the pros and cons of the job and your general experience, i would be very grateful to you.|||Believe me, don%26#039;t bother. There are very few jobs and getting them is impossible. Unless you know someone, you don%26#039;t have a chance. Colleges shouldn%26#039;t let people major in %26quot;mass communications%26quot; because there is no such thing as just getting a degree and getting hired anywhere--unlike law, medicine, engineering, forensics, etc. Go into one of those fields instead.
